Jack Sweeney, a 21-year-old college student, received a cease-and-desist letter from Taylor Swift's attorneys regarding his social media accounts monitoring Swift's private jets

The letter alleged that Sweeney prioritized public attention and financial gain over Swift's safety

Sweeney, who gained notoriety for monitoring Elon Musk's jet trips, was deactivated in December 2022

Swift's legal team issued two cease-and-desist letters to Sweeney in December 2023 and January 2024, instructing him to cease posting the locations of Swift's jets online.

Swift's lawyer, Katie Wright Morrone, emphasized that the situation is a life-or-death issue for Swift, stating that it is a matter of life or death for her.

Sweeney's lawyer, Ethan Jacobs, said GRNDCTRL violated no laws by monitoring private jets, including Swift's, using publicly available information.

Sweeney's legal team argued that using publicly available information to monitor private jets, including those used by public figures like Swift, is not illegal.

Infuriated by the private jet tracker that claims the singer landed in Kansas City, Taylor Swift's fans are extremely upset.
