Actor Charlie Sheen has initiated legal action to safeguard his 14-year-old twin children, Max and Bob, from his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller.

Sheen has submitted an ex parte motion outlining new conditions for child custody, specifically addressing Mueller's sobriety

The ex-couple, who separated in 2011, have joint custody of their 14-year-old twin kids, Max and Bo

Sheen would have exclusive custody of the boys if Mueller tests positive for drugs and alcohol or experiences a relapse.

Sheen will maintain shared legal custody unless Mueller tests positive for drugs and alcohol or experiences a relapse.

Sheen is currently covering Mueller's rent and will continue to do so under the condition that she remains sober.

If Mueller experiences a relapse, Sheen has the authority to cease providing any financial assistance to Mueller
