Luka Doncic scored an impressive 73 points in a 148-143 victory against the Atlanta Hawks, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 148-143 victory.

The game surpassed Joel Embiid's 70-point effort, setting a new record for the greatest score in the NBA this season.

Doncic's performance was the 10th time the NBA witnessed a player scoring 70 points in a game, making him the 10th person to achieve this feat.

Doncic scored a three-point play with 2 minutes and 58 seconds left, bringing his total points to 70.

He made 25 out of 33 shots from the field, with 8 out of 13 coming from 3-point range, and successfully made 15 out of 16 free throws.

Doncic also recorded 10 rebounds and seven assists, making him the fifth player in history to do so.

Mavs coach Jason Kidd humorously responded that Doncic is the game plan, stating that he serves as the game plan.

Doncic's previous personal best was 60 points, achieved during a game against the New York Knicks on December 27, 2022.
