Gina Carano, an actress from "The Mandalorian," has filed a lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm for discrimination and termination

Carano, a former mixed-martial artist, was terminated from the show in 2021 for promoting unfounded conspiracy theories and right-wing ideologies on social media.

Lucasfilm, the Disney subsidiary responsible for producing "The Mandalorian," condemned Carano's derogatory remarks on social media.

Carano has filed a lawsuit in federal court in California, seeking a court order to reintegrate her character and replace her with a new actor.

Musk has been criticizing Disney and its CEO, Robert A. Iger, since Disney and other large advertisers temporarily halted advertising on the platform in mid-November.

Musk has also shown support for Nelson Peltz, an activist investor, who is in a proxy struggle to secure two seats on the Disney board.
