The Boston Celtics maintained their winning streak after the All-Star break by defeating the Chicago Bulls.

The Celtics led by up to 16 points in the first quarter and recorded six blocks in a quarter, the highest for the season.

The Bulls responded with a 39-point second quarter, eliminating the Celtics' lead and taking a three-point lead at halftime.

The Bulls took the lead early in the third quarter and maintained their momentum to secure a 129–112 victory, marking their seventh consecutive win

Derrick White scored 28 points, Jayson Tatum contributed 25 points, Jaylen Brown added 21 points, Nikola Vucevic scored 22 points, and Coby White scored 20 points

The Celtics (44-12) will travel to New York to face the Knicks (33-22) at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night

Derrick White narrowly missed his first All-Star selection but is on track for his second consecutive All-Defensive Team nomination

The Celtics are often overwhelming favorites, making it difficult to support them when considering the point spread

In Chicago, Andre Drummond and Nikola Vucevic are competing for statistics, implying a decrease in the number of rebounds for Vucevic
