American Eagle Flight 5811, operated by Piedmont Airlines, veered off the taxiway at Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport on Thursday.

As it approached the terminal, the Embraer E145 aircraft, which had taken off from Philadelphia, was being transported there.

The incident was caused by "snowy airfield conditions" resulting from mild snowstorms in the region.

Around four o'clock in the afternoon, the event took place, and the aircraft was transported to the terminal by bus.

At this time, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting an inquiry into the occurrence that took place.

The flight had recently completed a 300-mile journey from Philadelphia International Airport, arriving about an hour later than scheduled.

An investigation into the incident is currently being carried out by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
